Brands are willing to pay all costs to acquire the skills needed to move the organization forward.

According to Ruiwise Sheriff, a technical consultant at Michael Page Middle East, salary varies based on experience and the different technology stacks the coder specializes in.

The usual salary range is between AED 10,000 for entry level to AED 35,000 for intermediate level and other benefits and allowances.

Deepa Sud, CEO of Plum Jobs, said that due to the lack of software engineers, traditional salary standards have become obsolete and no longer apply to coders.

“Brands are willing to acquire the skills needed to drive the organization forward at all costs, and use the latest technology to better serve and retain customers. Based on their position in the latest technology and their level of expertise, the annual salary of a coder is about 60,000 dirhams,” she said.

“Since there are no specific educational requirements for coders, anyone who aspires to become a coder can participate in coding bootcamps and learn to code to develop their skills. Their value depends on their ability to use their knowledge and expertise,” Sud said.
