Ugandan footballer Isaiah Ainembabazi destined to spend time in UAE

Isaiah Gift Ainembabazi, 24, is a Ugandan footballer who has steadily climbed the ladder of natural growth and development.

The attacking midfielder is currently under contract with Dutch third division ASV AZ 2000 Elderveld.

He has been on trial in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) for the past few weeks and will be retained if all goes according to plan.

Ainembabazi was born to Army Captain Herbert Bagyenda (now deceased) and Margret Muhairwe at Mengo Hospital in Kampala.

Known as “Bravo”, Ainembabazi has starred in several football academies including Kampala Children’s League (KKL), Edgars, Proline, Kampala Junior Team (KJT), Nsambya and Fimbo.

He attended Old Kampala Secondary School, Victoria High School and played in the biggest secondary school football game; Coca-Cola.

Ainembabazi competed in three different national championships in Masaka (2012), Arua (2013) and Tororo (2014).

During the Tororo Championship, he was the captain of Victoria High School and his outstanding performance earned him an invitation to the Uganda national U-17 football team (Cubs).

In the same year (2014), he joined Nzambia Youth Star Football Club.

He traveled to Sweden with Nsambia Soccer Stars for the popular European Youth World Cup Gothic Championships.

“I played in the 2014 Gothic Cup in Sweden. I also played in the 2015 Mediterranean International Cup in Barcelona, ​​Spain,” he recalls.

While in Spain, he was drafted into the Dutch club ESA Football Club.

He has since played for four different clubs in the Netherlands. De Bataven Gendt, ESA, Arnhemse Boys, Passberg, currently at Az2000 Arnhem.

“At Az2000 Arnhem, I got an agent who decided to take me to the UAE for trial,” added Christian, the reborn.

Ainembabazi’s strengths include long range shooting, dribbling and long passing.

His role models were Steven Gerrard and Andres Iniesta.

Ainembabazi is fluent in English, Dutch and Luganda dialects.

He also holds dual citizenship; paperwork with Uganda and the Netherlands.
