Grants cover fees for tuition, application, registration, student services and health services
Outstanding high school students at Abu Dhabi University (ADU) are recognised for their outstanding academic performance and receive full scholarships.
20 scholarship recipients will be enrolled at Abu Dhabi University at the start of the 2022-2023 academic year to join 50 unique programs, majors and specializations, including Bachelor of Science in Software Engineering, Information Technology (IT), Cyber ​​Security Engineering; Computing Engineering – Specialization in Artificial Intelligence, Electrical Engineering – Specialization in Robotics and Automation, and MSc in Information Technology and MSc in Electrical and Computer Engineering.
Sheikh Hamdan Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Representative of the Ruler of the Al Dhafra Region and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Abu Dhabi University (ADU), has awarded the scholarship. ADU’s programs are designed to equip students with the necessary skills to prepare them for the most sought-after jobs of the 21st century and to excel in their future careers.
Available since 2009, this scholarship is a prominent national initiative dedicated to empowering outstanding students and motivating them to pursue their educational goals.
The scholarship is a key pillar of ADU’s academic excellence strategy and reflects its commitment to supporting the development of the UAE’s academic ecosystem.
Scholarships are covered for a maximum period of four years, or after graduation, whichever is earlier. Scholarships cover tuition, application, registration and student services fees, and medical services fees. Eligible students may apply through ADU’s Office of Scholarships and Financial Aid.
Dr. Ali Saeed Bin Harmal Al Dhaheri, President and Founder of Abu Dhabi University, highlighted the importance of similar initiatives generously offered by Sheikh Hamdan Bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
Dr Al Dhahehri said: “Scholarships play a vital role in encouraging outstanding students to continue their pursuit of excellence and begin their higher education journeys. Furthermore, these initiatives create a healthy and competitive environment.
“Top achievers who meet the criteria will be able to study at ADU, a world-class academic institution, and choose from a wide range of developmental fields including engineering sciences, management, environment, information technology, languages, law, media, health sciences, and more.”

Professor Waqar Ahmad, President of Abu Dhabi University (ADU), encourages students to maintain successful academic achievement throughout the four years of the scholarship. Professor Ahmed noted that, with the exception of the winter and summer semesters, students must commit to maintaining a minimum CGPA of 3.70 and at least 12 credits per semester in order to continue to receive this prestigious scholarship.
