Swiss International School Dubai is the emirate’s first bilingual International Baccalaureate school and one of only two boarding schools in the region to be included in the respected Spear’s 100 Schools Index.
UK-based Spear’s is a media and wealth management consultancy for ultra-high net worth individuals. Every year it indexes the best providers for a range of services, from legal and tax advice to travel and education.
Now, the bustling Al Jadaff School joins 14 other schools in the MENA region in the latest Spears list.
Spears, who added the 1,800-student school to its highly regarded Top Flight index, said: “Unique in Dubai, SISD is the only school to offer three language streams (German, French and English). It is also one of the few schools in the UAE to offer boarding. Located on a creek, it has an air of its Swiss heritage with a climbing wall, sailing, ski clubs and a strong focus on STEM subjects. The school is academically selective but inclusive Strong is the center of internationalism.”
Principal and Chief Executive Ruth Burke said: “The recognition of this capability is a powerful testament to the dedication of all of our staff and the wider community of school stakeholders to make our very special school stand out. Hard work – thank you all.
“Ambitious in our curriculum, holistic and pedagogical approach, we have an unrivalled position locally and beyond. For our students and staff, and the wider school community, we can provide a solid foundation for our seven years of operation Proud of what has been achieved and excited about the prospects for the next phase of our school’s development.” – arab trade news agency
