Tumbleweed is producing Outside City Limits, a late summer festival for its third year. Like Calf Fry, Tumbleweed’s popular spring festival, Outside City Limits will offer a selection of clay country artists for fans to enjoy. During the three days of the festival, there were three major headlines. Check them out here.
Shane Smith and The Saints will be the main headliners when the festival kicks off on Thursday. Lead singer Shane Smith is a Texan who moved to Austin to pursue his musical dreams. A passionate musician and songwriter, he developed a connection with a group of musicians who now make up the Saints. Members of The Saints play violin, guitar, bass and drums. Shane Smith and the Saints are known for bringing high-energy performances to audiences.
The Randy Rogers Band will headline Friday’s lineup. The band started in San Marcos, Texas and have been performing together for 20 years. Their unique blend of personalities has kept them terrific over the years. In addition to Rogers, the band includes five members who play violin, bass, guitar, drums and keyboards. Together, the Randy Rogers Band has created a successful and iconic country band that has delighted fans for two decades and will continue to do so.
Ashley McBryde will wrap up the festival on Saturday night. Unlike the first two headliners, McBride grew up in Arkansas, where she developed a passion for music and songwriting. She brought her talent to Nashville and got her breakthrough in 2017, performing with big names such as George Strait and Little Big Town. McBryde’s band consists of her and four other band members who play drums, guitar, mandolin and bass. McBride is known to be a whiskey-drinking badass who excels wherever he goes.
