Abu Dhabi – To promote innovative solutions that address Abu Dhabi’s most pressing social priorities, the Social Contribution Authority – Ma’an and the Emirates Red Crescent Society (ERC) have signed a strategic partnership agreement to support social sector programmes and initiatives, Allow both entities to engage in integrated partnerships to have a positive and sustainable impact on society.
The cooperation agreement reflects the mutual commitment of both parties to support social sector projects, facilitates new channels of communication, and establishes a joint working team between Maan and ERC to screen beneficiaries according to the highest practices and standards and study their relevance to social assistance related requests. In addition to attracting and directing financial and in-kind contributions to social projects and initiatives in Abu Dhabi, the agreement will allow teams to collect and distribute donations and donations to various social priorities.
The agreement was signed at the Ma’an headquarters in Abu Dhabi by the Hon.
Ms Salama Al Ameemi, Director General of Ma’an said: “As a government entity bringing together all government, private and third-party partners in the social support sector under one inclusive platform, this partnership agreement allows us to enhance our capabilities Ensuring innovative and impactful solutions to a variety of societal priorities. We believe the synergy created by combining Ma’an’s expertise and ERC’s longstanding reputation will help support local and global communities.”
Al Ameemi added: “We look forward to the positive results of this partnership agreement to improve the quality of life of Abu Dhabi’s communities through innovative initiatives and programmes that support multiple social priorities, including education, health, environment and sustainable development.”
His Excellency Hamoud Al Junaibi, Secretary General of the ERC, said: “Through this partnership, we aim to expand our commitment to the well-being of Abu Dhabi’s communities, which is in line with our strategic objective of using innovation as a key tool to support new social assistance programmes and Initiative. These efforts will help Abu Dhabi and the UAE stay at the forefront of global innovation.”
He added: “As the UAE has abundant resources and infrastructure that enhances its ability to meet challenges, the role of the ERC is to ensure the necessary support and greater flexibility and dynamism for various government programmes and directives.”
The agreement aims to establish a joint working mechanism to manage the selection of projects and programmes to serve Abu Dhabi’s various social priorities in line with the emirate’s social sector agenda and strategy. This will help assess the level of achievement of joint projects, including social impact reports, where health, education and low-income people are at the forefront when selecting programmes and initiatives targeting the Abu Dhabi, Al Ain and Al Dhafra regions heavy.
The agreement identifies proposed projects to be implemented in the Abu Dhabi, Al Ain and Al Dhafra areas between 2022 and 2026, divided into four main categories: health, education, humanitarian assistance and a range of other addressing seasonal issues and development s project.
