Car rentals in Dubai record 24% growth in first half

The Dubai car rental industry reported a notable 23.7% increase in the number of companies registered in the first half of 2022, up from 1,087 in the same period last year.

According to the Emirates News Agency, a total of 78,000 vehicles were registered in the first half of 2022, up 11.8% from 69,000 in the same period last year WAM.

“The rapid expansion of the Dubai car rental industry in the first half of 2022 underscores the RTA’s efforts to realise its vision for a comprehensive development of Dubai. “Following regular meetings with several companies in the industry, the RTA has undertaken six initiatives that have had a considerable impact on leveraging the car rental market.
