US President Joe Biden has said he will attend the funeral of Queen Elizabeth II.

“Yeah. I don’t know what the details are yet, but I’ll be there,” Biden told reporters at Columbus International Airport in Ohio on Friday.

He answered a question about whether he would attend the Queen’s funeral.

In response to another question, the president said he had not spoken to King Charles III. “I know him. I haven’t spoken to him yet,” he added. US Secretary of State Tony Blinken said in Brussels that Queen Elizabeth II is a powerful force of unity and a source of comfort and recovery for millions of people from all walks of life.

“On behalf of the United States, I extend my deepest condolences to our British friends, the British government and the Royal Family,” he said.
