* Migratory birds in the Ohio Valley in the Ohio River National Wildlife Refuge, Thursday, 7 p.m.

* Paddlefest Friday-Sunday at Point Park

* Vienna Fall Family Fun Weekend at Spencer Park Friday-Saturday at 9am

* John Richards Music Friday at Marietta Cellars from 6-9pm

* Friday, 6-7pm, kayak on Kanawha with decorated kayaks at Point Park

*Generation Gap live at Paddlefest in Point Park on Friday at 6 p.m.

* Concert and Dinner Series: Johnny Staats at the Blennerhassett Hotel on Fridays from 6:30-9:30 pm

* Marietta College Ebenshade Series: Bob Thompson Quartet Friday at 8 p.m. at the People’s Bank Theatre

* The Doobie Brothers at the Smoot Theatre, Friday, 8pm

* Mid-Ohio Valley Players Youth Performance Workshop, Saturday, 8:30am-noon

*Lunch with Mark Twain at Valley Gem Saturday 9am-11am

* Children’s Fishing Day at Buckeye Park on Saturdays from 9am-11pm

*Saturday 9:45-10:45am Teen/Tween Acting Class at 100 Marietta Mill Creek Road

* Itsy Bitsy Spider Sweetapple Farm Maze opens in Vincent on Saturdays at 10am

* Kids Shop & Create: Saturdays, 10am-5pm, Parkersburg Arts Center for children 3 and older

* Drape Winding Course at Artsbridge on Saturday at 1pm

*Downtown Throwdown in downtown Parkersburg, Saturday, 6-10pm

* Concert and Dinner Series: Moments Stolen at the Blennerhassett Hotel, Friday, 6:30-9:30pm

*Saturday 7:30-10:30pm, four on the floor of the Lost Anchor

* Opening Ceremony: West Virginia Symphony Orchestra at The Clay Center, Saturday, 7:30-9:30pm

* Phase 2 at Gator’s Pub, Saturday, 8-11pm

* Chalk for Suicide Awareness Sunday at Parkersburg City Park from noon to 4 p.m.
