document
Dubai-based airline Flydubai announced today that it has become the first Emirates airline to offer direct flights from Dubai with the launch of twice-weekly flights to Namangan from 24 September.
The addition of flights to Namangan makes it Uzbekistan’s third destination, including Samarkand, which opened on September 20, and the capital, Tashkent.
Flights to Namangan International Airport (NMA) will operate from Dubai International Airport (DXB) Terminal 2 on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
With operations to Namangan, Flydubai has expanded its network in Central Asia to seven points, enabling passengers from the UAE and GCC to explore more of the region.
Flydubai CEO Ghaith Al Ghaith said: “Uzbekistan has become an emerging market for Flydubai and we are delighted to see our network expand in the country with the launch of flights to Namangan and next week to Samarkand Flights. Ten weekly flights to the market will strengthen trade and cultural ties between the UAE and Uzbekistan.”
