Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Kazakhstan ambassador discuss expanding trade and investment cooperation

In order to promote trade and investment relations between Abu Dhabi and Kazakh businesses, His Excellency Abdullah Mohammed Al Mazrui, Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry, received His Excellency Madiar Menilikov, Ambassador of Kazakhstan to the UAE, at the Tower of Abu Dhabi.

The meeting was attended by His Excellency Mohamed Helal Al Mheiri, Director General of the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce, and the two sides discussed expanding the partnership between the private sector in the UAE and Kazakhstan, taking into account their enormous economic capabilities.

“Kazakhstan is one of our main trading partners,” His Excellency Almazroui said at the start of the meeting, expressing his high hope that the visit of the Kazakh ambassador will serve the best interests of both sides in expanding economic cooperation in various fields. “Such visits will increase trade and investment relations and allow us to benefit from the agreement between the two countries to deploy our ability to forge new value-added partnerships,” he added.

The Chairman noted that the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce is ready to provide all services for the business of Kazakh companies wishing to invest in Abu Dhabi. He also stressed the need to exchange trade delegations and participate in economic conferences and forums to support economic and trade cooperation between Abu Dhabi and Kazakhstan, especially non-governmental organizations that are in line with the Abu Dhabi government and the UAE’s approach to revenue diversification. oil trade. resources and focus on innovation and the knowledge economy.

Ambassador Menilikov said that the economic cooperation between the two countries is at a prosperous stage, and trade, investment and tourism activities are expected to increase significantly in the near future, especially after the signing of several investment agreements and the expansion of connectivity between the two sides in aviation.

He added that given the number of joint projects between Abu Dhabi and Kazakhstan, the two sides are preparing to sign a new economic cooperation agreement, describing Abu Dhabi’s commercial sector as a key economic partner with Kazakhstan.

The ambassador praised the role of the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce in supporting Emirati businesses and allowing the Kazakh business community to explore promising cooperation opportunities with their Abu Dhabi counterparts.
