‘Mabrook Madabart’ program offers digital services to facilitate marriage and support young people to cut costs and make the process easier

Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister Lt. Gen. Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan launched a family stability support programme “Mabrook Madabart”, Arabic for “Congratulations on your marriage”.

The programme was launched in the presence of Sheikh Khalid bin Zayed Al Nahyan, chairman of Zayed’s Steadfast People’s High Organization (ZHO).

Part of Abu Dhabi’s unified government service system “Tamm”, the scheme is for people of determination to marry. It is also part of an initiative to support and encourage this community group through the provision of services to promote the creation and formation of happy, stable and cohesive families. This will help create a system of stability and family coexistence for determined people who are about to marry, thereby achieving social cohesion and promoting social integration by encouraging marriage, ensuring empowerment and a decent life for determined people.

The initiative follows ZHO’s collaboration with the Federal Population Council and six other entities, namely Majalis Abudabi of the Presidential Court – Abu Dhabi, Ministry of Community Development (MoCD), Abu Dhabi Housing Authority, Family Development Foundation (FDF) ), Abu Dhabi Digital Authority and G42 Healthcare.

The “Mabrook Madabart” programme provides digital services for the soon-to-be-married determined people to facilitate their marriage, meet the social needs of Abu Dhabi citizens and provide the best level of service. It supports young people in reducing the cost of marriage and making it easier.

The “Mabrook Madabart” programme is linked to relevant agencies and provides a calendar of dates for all annual mass weddings that will take place in Abu Dhabi during the year. The purpose is to plan ahead to give prospective couples from different demographics the determination and to allow them to choose the right date and place for them. Ethical support, awareness and coaching support services are also available, including family counselling and coaching.

The programme offers dedicated training sessions for determined prospective couples from different categories, provided they attend at least one session per day. It also includes courses offered by ZHO, including mutual introduction of couples and mate selection, dealing with the needs of being a partner of a determined person, external relations maintained by a determined person’s family, having children and raising children. The Family Development Foundation also offers courses in preparation services for prospective couples, including marital compatibility, understanding partners, effective communication, emotional satisfaction, conflict management, and spousal financial planning.

The program helps determined people who are about to get married to submit applications for marriage grants, in addition to applying for a housing program online for citizens of Abu Dhabi while identifying housing requirements that meet their needs.

Abdullah Abdul Aali Al Humaidan, Secretary General of the Zayed Senior Organization for the Stronger People, said that based on the organization’s role and its vision to achieve equal rights, the determination to the well-being of the people and the empowerment of their communities has deepened, and to ensure their empowerment and raise their standards Independence and effectiveness within the community, the launch of the family stability support programme “Mabrook Madabart” is part of the organisation’s passion to provide these couples with ways to build stable families. He added that the programme helps to build stronger societies based on solidarity, cohesion and interdependence by supporting and assisting those who wish to marry and face the many social and economic hardships and challenges that stand in the way of achieving this. In addition, the program facilitates by involving a number of relevant agencies in this initiative.

Al Humaidan expressed his heartfelt thanks to Sheikh Saif for launching the “Mabrook Madabart” program and Sheikh Khalid for participating in the launching ceremony. He said: “The ‘Mabrook Madabart’ programme, launched in partnership with six government entities, is a positive step towards supporting determined people at important stages of their lives to ensure they live a decent life under the social welfare system. “

Moza Al Akraf Al Suwaidi, Deputy Minister of Community Development, said the partnership between the ministry and the ZHO and several relevant authorities has strengthened and promoted the procedures and services that people of determination deserve. She noted that the ministry supports the initiative in every possible way. It provides a nationwide database of determined people with all updates by category, age, education level, geographic distribution, and more. In addition to opportunities, it also provides marriage grants based on approved terms and conditions. It encourages them to benefit from group wedding services adopted by the ministry to support the establishment of stable and happy families.

Al Suwaidi confirmed that the ministry has recently added an advocacy programme (Edaad) on its electronic platform to allow young people who are about to marry to use Arabic and English 24/7, in addition to sign language. The plan stems from the ministry’s keenness to expand the target youth group across the country to include both men and women.

Dr. Mohamed Abdel Hamid Al Askar, Director General of Abu Dhabi Digital Authority, said the launch of “Mabrook Madabart” as part of Abu Dhabi’s unified system of government services “Tamm” reflects the collaboration of Abu Dhabi government entities, and their collaboration. Commitment to work together to drive digital transformation and provide them with a superior customer experience that guarantees the highest standard of comfort.

He said: “The Tamm system provides interactive digital channels designed to meet the needs of the Abu Dhabi community in a smooth and fast manner. Through modern technology and the innovative features of the ‘Tamm’ system, more than 700 digital government services are now easily accessible , contribute to improving social well-being and welfare, and achieve the highest levels of well-being and satisfaction with government services provided in Abu Dhabi.”

Maryam Mohamed Al Rumaithi, director general of the Family Development Foundation, said the launch of ZHO’s “Mabrook Madabart” reflects its interest in ensuring that its people of determination live a happy life.

Dr Mohamed Rashid Al Hamli, Director General of Abu Dhabi Housing Authority, said: “Abu Dhabi Housing Authority is keen to work with authorities to launch Mabrook Madabart, a family stability support programme.”

“The launch of the ‘Mabrook Madabart’ program is an important strategic step in supporting an important and worthy category of citizens: people of determination who have the attention, care and follow-up of wise leadership.”

Customer Enrollment Program Journey

A determined person will use his/her Emirates ID to log into the “Mabrook Madabart” programme’s electronic platform, register on the programme’s website, sign the necessary declarations electronically, and choose a date of marriage. Review customer information, apply directly after approval, and actively accept a package of comprehensive government services, including applying for mass weddings. In addition to applying for online housing plans for Abu Dhabi citizens, you can also get subsidies. Clients should specify housing requirements that meet their needs and enroll in professional training courses tailored to prospective couples.

Dedicated training sessions properly qualify the soon-to-be-married determined person so they can get through this critical step in life. The courses also help them face any challenges, build a cohesive family, provide family support and guidance, support them in financial planning, and provide health care for their spouse.
