Covid-19: European agencies update travel green list-News

[ad_1]

Being on the green list means that ECDC no longer discourages travel to and from one of the countries/regions.

The European Center for Disease Control and Prevention (ECDC) announced in its latest update that due to the low Covid-19 infection rate in the past two weeks, several European countries and regions have now become part of the green list.

Therefore, according to the data provided by ECDC, the following countries/regions are now included in the green list: Germany, Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Austria, Hungary, Slovenia, Romania, Bulgaria, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Norway regions: Rogaland, Telemark, Vestfold , Oslo, Buskerud, Ostfold, Akershus, Oppland, Hedmark, Sor-Trondelag, Nord-Trondelag, Nordland, Croatia area: Central Croatia, Slavonia, Italy area: Puglia, Molise, Aosta Valley .

It was announced on August 5 that these regions will be included in the Green List, which means that ECDC will no longer block travel to and from one of the aforementioned countries/regions.

The decision to include the above-mentioned countries/regions on the Green List was made after fewer than 75 cases of Covid-19 infection per 100,000 residents were detected in the past 14 days and the positive rate of testing was less than 1%.

If fewer than 50 coronavirus cases per 100,000 residents have been registered in the past 14 days and the positive test rate is less than 4%, these countries will also be placed on the green list.

The low infection rate is closely related to the rapid vaccination speed in these countries.

According to data provided by ECDC, the average vaccination rate for each country included in the Green List is about 50%. Hungary is the leading country (64.8%), followed by Austria (63.1%), Germany (62.6%), and the Czech Republic. (55.6%) and so on.

In contrast, after reports of high rates of coronavirus infection in other countries and regions, ECDC has included other countries and regions on the Red and Crimson lists.

However, the current vaccination rates in the countries/regions on the Crimson and Red Lists are also high, which indicates that the infection cases are mainly related to travel activities.

Since the country has been included in the Crimson List, ECDC has warned all travel to Spain except Asturias. So far, 68.9% of the entire Spanish population has been fully vaccinated against the disease.

Several regions of France are also included in the same list, which means that it is strongly recommended not to travel to the three regions of France. France reports that 61.4% of the population is fully immunized.
