Foreign Minister to speak on 24 September on emirate’s policies, priorities and vision for international peace, security and cooperation

Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, will lead the UAE delegation to the 77th United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in New York from 20 to 26 September 2022 77).
The Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation will present the UAE’s policies, priorities and vision for international peace, security and cooperation in a speech on September 24, which is expected to be attended by more than 150 heads of state and government. .
Led by Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the UAE delegation will engage with Member States, UN officials and other stakeholders on pressing global challenges, including climate Change, conflict resolution, post-pandemic recovery, humanitarian emergencies and food insecurity.
As a member of the UN Security Council, the UAE has taken a greater role in these priorities and is working to promote conflict resolution, support an improved international counter-terrorism framework to address emerging threats, and strengthen full, equitable and meaningful participation of women Conflict resolution and peace operations. Across the UN system, the UAE is pushing for greater action and cooperation to tackle global warming and its impacts as host country to the 2023 UN Climate Change Conference (COP 28).
