What to expect from this festival of street beats…
The UK’s number one ‘urban music festival’, Wireless, will debut in Abu Dhabi in March 2023. It’s a sonic celebration of street beats, showcasing the best artists from hip-hop, grime and other cutting-edge music genres, electronica, trip-hop, trap and afrobeats.
The UK’s 2022 event took place at Finsbury Park and Crystal Palace in July and hosted the lyrical elite of modern music – artists such as Cardi B, SZA, Nicki Minaj, A$AP Rocky, J Cole and Tyler, the Creator . In previous years, more and more rap royalty took the stage—Jay-Z, Kanye West, Justin Timberlake, Rihanna, Travis Scott, Stormzy and Skepta all brought their own voices to the stifling festival crowd.
Wireless Music Festival joins the capital events calendar for Abu Dhabi’s 2022/23 winter events schedule, which already includes western life, Disney on Ice, Andrea Bocelli, The Lion King Stage Show, prick, Liam Gallagher, Kaiser Cheifs and Clean Bandit, Kendrick Lamar, Swedish House Mafia, black pink, UFC, WBA title fight, F1, Mutadala TennisMother’s Day, One Republic, Jimmy Carrand Kevin Bridges.
