Fugro, the world’s leading provider of geographic data solutions, has opened a new facility in the Jebel Ali Free Zone (Jafza) to expand its footprint in the Middle East and India region.
With this new facility, Fugro reaffirms its commitment to providing expertise and advanced geodata solutions to the rapidly growing energy, infrastructure and construction industries in the Middle East and India.
The new 28,000-square-meter facility will serve as a new base for fostering collaboration between teams and as a regional base combining expertise to provide customers with advanced geographic data solutions. The facility will also feature a state-of-the-art Remote Operations Center (ROC) to expand the company’s remote and autonomous capabilities to transform the maritime sector.

Since entering the Middle East in the early 1970s, Fugro has established itself in several strategic locations in the region, including Qatar, Egypt, India and Saudi Arabia.
The new facility was inaugurated by Fugro Management Committee Mark Heine and Barbara Geelen in the presence of Abdulla Bin Damithan, Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of Dubai World, Dubai World and Jafza. arab trade news agency
