Abu Dhabi: The National Institute of Health Professions (NIHS) has awarded Mubadala Health Partners Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi Institutional Accreditation after meeting accreditation requirements. This accreditation enables trainees to be accredited by the Emirates Aviation Commission and be promoted to Consultant Level 1.
NIHS Secretary General Dr. Mohammed Al Houqani praised Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi for its leadership in healthcare and service quality, noting that NIHS accreditation requirements are the benchmark for best practice in medical education worldwide.
Dr. Sawsan Abdel-Razig, Interim Chief Academic Officer, Cleveland Clinic, Abu Dhabi said: “This is an important milestone for us at the Cleveland Clinic in Abu Dhabi. We are proud to contribute to the development of postgraduate medical education in the country and Partnering with the National Institute of Health Specialties on this important work. Dr. Jorge Guzman, CEO of Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, Dr. Sawsan and several other specialists were recognized by Dr. Mohammed at an awards ceremony held at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi.
NIHS is the regulatory body that sets standards for professional health training programmes in the UAE. It also conducts professional professional examinations for trainees and awards higher health professional certificates, including boards and scholarships.
