When was history made Taylor Hale be crowned champion big brother Season 24 on Sunday night.
The 27-year-old current Miss Michigan USA is the first black woman to win the competition’s non-celebrity form. 2019, singer, TV personality Tamar Braxton won the second season of the show’s celebrity edition, making her the first black woman to win an American show of any kind big brother.
This marks the second time a black woman has sat in the last two chairs in regular show history.It first happened 20 years ago on the day Hale won, when the Big Brother legend Danielle Reyes Season 3 lost to first place by 9-1 votes Lisa Donahue.
Hale beats second place of the season Monte Taylor In an 8-1 vote. In her impassioned final speech to the jury, she said she had come to understand that she was not a shield but a sword.
“I’m not a victim; I’m a winner. If I had to describe the season in one word, it would be resilience,” Hale said. “If you’re going to ask yourself who’s the most resilient guy this season, it’s me.”
In addition to winning the season, Hale became the first person to win the America’s Favorite Player award for both the game and the fan vote. She won $50,000 and a cruise for two and the grand prize of $750,000.Thanks to two wins, Hale cements his place as the most money-winning player in U.S. history big brother.
