The action and drama series is directed by award-winning director Danny Gordon, who has produced over 100 hours of network television, including the critically acclaimed American superhero TV series Legion.
“It was a privilege to find such a desert, with endless dunes as far as the eye could see,” Gordon said in a statement. He was impressed by the landscape of Abu Dhabi.
The limited series was filmed in multiple locations in Abu Dhabi, which doubles as the mythical city of Luzra, including the architectural structures of the Emirates Palace and The Ritz-Carlton, Abu Dhabi, as well as the sprawling Abu Dhabi Than the desert and the Alkan cement plant. Scenes were also filmed in other locations such as Mussafah, Abu Dhabi Global Market, Al Danah and military bases.

“Last Light” by Emmy-nominated Matthew Fox, best known for his roles as Charlie Salinger on “The Party of Five” and Jack Shepard on the acclaimed TV series “Lost,” as well as the SAG-winning actress Actor Joanne Froggatt, best known for her role as Anna Bates in Downton Abbey. The cast also includes Amber Rose and Hakeem Jomah.
The new US TV series “Last Light” is one of more than 130 productions to feature the UAE capital as a filming destination.
‘Last Light’ was recently released in the Shahid VIP area.
