DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel & Residences Sharjah Waterfront has appointed Ligia Brasoveanu as its new General Manager.
Ligia from Romania will bring her 20+ years of Hilton experience. Having worked in more than seven countries in Europe and the Middle East, Shas has a strong commercial sector background and an extensive operational overview. Ligia first moved to the UAE in 2016 as Hotel Manager at Hilton Ras Al Khaimah and shortly after as General Manager at Hilton Garden Inn Ras Al Khaimah.
During three years of experience in the northern emirate, Ligia Brasoveanu learned about UAE hospitality, market dynamics, and oversaw master plan renovations. Ligia and her family have spent the past three years in Estonia, where she is the general manager of the Hilton Tallinn Park Hotel. and guided her team through the pandemic.
Regarding her return to the UAE, Ligia said: “I am delighted to be back in this beautiful country I call home. I look forward to working with my leadership team to elevate the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel & Residences Sharjah Waterfront to a new level and continue to delight our guests and stakeholders. DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel & Residences Sharjah Waterfront opened on October 26, 2021, marking its one-year anniversary.
