DUBAI: Arab Fashion Week, organised by the Arab Fashion Council, will return to Dubai next month. From October 10th to 15th, fashion designers from the region and further afield will present their womenswear collections in a series of fashion shows in the Dubai Design District.
During the six-day event, designers will present their Autumn/Winter 2023 Haute Couture as well as their Spring/Summer 2023 ready-to-wear collections. Here, we’ve picked 12 designers to watch out of 35 international brands.
Amato
The Dubai-based brainchild of Filipino-born designer Furne One, who has dressed some of the world’s most famous stars, including supermodels Heidi Klum and Tyra Banks, will present its Couture fall/winter collection on October 11.
Ilse Jarrah
The Paraguayan natural-inspired fashion brand aims to create wearable art and will present its Fall/Winter 2023 Haute Couture collection on October 11.
Winsanto
The Parisian designer, who designed non-fungible token wearables for K-Pop duo Lightsum, will present his fall/winter haute couture on October 11, hosted by the Federation of Haute Couture and Fashion.
Pipachala
Thai fashion designer Pipathara Kaeojinda’s eponymous label, which focuses on slow and sustainable fashion, will present its Fall/Winter 2023 collections on October 12.
Ivan Young
Founded by two sisters in 2017, the Malaysian luxury womenswear brand specialising in delicate silk pieces will launch its fall/winter collection on October 12.
Michael V
The Dubai-based Filipino fashion designer, who launched his namesake label in 2003, will present his Couture fall/winter collection on October 13.
Ihab Gillis
The Palestinian designer known for evening gowns and haute couture will present his label’s Fall/Winter 2023 Haute Couture collection on October 13.
Yasmin Saleh
The Lebanese fashion designer, who uses art to raise awareness of psychological and social issues, will present her brand’s Spring/Summer 2023 ready-to-wear collection on October 14.
Vidivadevani
The luxury brand from India, with a special focus on handcrafted textures, bold colours and creative silhouettes, will present its Spring/Summer 2023 ready-to-wear collection on October 14th.
