Abu Dhabi Classics Return with Cuban National Ballet and Israel Philharmonic

This Abu Dhabi Classic is returning for another dynamic classical music program.

This Ministry of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi Created a rich and exciting calendar featuring world-renowned composers, soloists and orchestras.

Highlights include the Cuban National Ballet performing the famous Carmenthe Israel Philharmonic Orchestra and the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra, rated as one of the top three orchestras in the world, led by conductor Daniel Harding.

The concert marks the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra’s return to the region after 10 years, with conductor Daniel Harding leading the charge.

The National Ballet of Cuba performs “Carmen”: November 25 at the Cultural Foundation

Carmen It is a one-act ballet created by Cuban choreographer Alberto Alonso in 1967, with a score by Russian composer Rodion Shedrin. This is a fascinating story of the passion of a free-spirited woman.

The ballet will be performed by the National Ballet of Cuba, one of the most important ballet companies in the world.

Israel Philharmonic Grand Concert: December 20 at the Emirates Palace Auditorium

One of the oldest and leading cultural institutions in the country, the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra regularly tours the world with a grand concert in December.

Rebeca Omordia’s piano recital “African Piano”: January 20 at the Cultural Foundation

London-based, award-winning Nigerian-Romanian pianist Rebeca Omordia will bring electronic performances of contemporary and vibrant classical music to composers from across the continent.

“She has a really fascinating program. First of all, she’s a very good pianist, but she’s playing music from contemporary classical composers from the African continent. It really shows how universal classical music is today,” Pompeo said. Elwitz said.
