NRC hosts a virtual summer forum for students in public and private schools

The National Rehabilitation Center (NRC) organized a week-long virtual summer forum to provide students with useful skills on how to effectively use their free time and vacations to develop their life and leadership skills to become future leaders.

The forum attracted the participation of 35 male and female students aged 14-16 from 16 public and private schools in the UAE, and introduced the participants to the personal, family, social and economic hazards of addiction, and how to avoid unhealthy habits. Addictive.

The feature of this forum is a gender segregation meeting hosted by famous NRC trainers, consultants and doctors. These conferences cover a wide range of topics, such as improving students’ skills, testing their abilities, and promoting positive behaviors. The event also includes an introduction to the “Who Am I” training program, so that students can learn more about their abilities and strengths.

In addition, the forum also discussed the advantages and disadvantages of video games and the Internet, especially when their use becomes addictive. Participants also had an in-depth understanding of how to lead a balanced lifestyle.

The forum also includes a brainstorming session for students to share their thoughts and thoughts on the use of energy drinks and their adverse health effects. The lecture aims to help students improve their sense of self-efficacy and encourage them to participate in peer support activities.

His Excellency Dr. Hamad Al Ghafri, Director-General of NRC, said: “The priority of NRC is to protect our students from all forms and types of addiction risks. In this process, we aim to bring positive changes to their behaviors. And to help them cope with the challenges and external influences encountered in daily life. Through this activity, we try to educate students how to use their time for useful activities to improve their skills and protect them from becoming victims of drug addiction By.”

The forum ended with an interactive session on “Smoking”, which focused on the harm of smoking and the factors that lead to its addiction. The purpose of this conference is to motivate students and encourage them to continuously develop their skills, thereby combating bad habits.
