ADIB expands ITM network in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain

Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank (ADIB), a leading Islamic financial institution, has expanded its popular Interactive Teller Machine (ITM) network with the addition of two new machines at the Marina Mall in Abu Dhabi and the Oud Al Toba branch in Al Ain.

As of August 2022, the bank’s ITM usage has grown rapidly year-on-year, with total cash withdrawal and deposit transactions increasing from AED97 million ($26.4 million) in 2021 to AED403 million in 2022. Printed direct debit cards will increase from 301 in 2021 to 2,227 in 2022, a 600% increase in 2022.

These additions bring the total number of ITMs deployed across the UAE to 22, of which 16 are located in the emirates of Abu Dhabi and Dubai. ITM offers significantly enhanced services, including the option to use its calling feature, which allows customers to contact bank tellers directly, with their queries resolved within 20 seconds on average 77% of the time.

In addition, the ITM calling function is popular among smartphone users, with more than 206,000 calls in 2022 alone; of which 134,000 are for smart services and 72,000 for self-service.

These smart kiosks provide customers with a personalized banking experience with enhanced services such as cashing checks, issuing new or replacement cards, depositing up to 25 checks per transaction, instant data updates and instant account activation on hold, in addition to standard ATM services such as checks and cash deposits and withdrawals. – arab trade news agency
