Emirates News Agency – EPA raises interest in work of 30 Emirati publishers from Riyadh IBF

SHARJAH, 3rd October, 2022 (WAM) — The UAE Publishers Association (EPA) has showcased 2,625 diverse titles from 30 UAE publishers through its ‘Manassah’ platform at the Riyadh International Book Fair 2022 in the capital of Saudi Arabia. Artifacts and creative works until October 8, 2022.

Under the Manassah initiative, the EPA represents UAE publishers locally and regionally to enhance their promotion in new markets.

In Riyadh, the EPA also shared its knowledge and expertise at the September 27-28 Publishers Conference, which brought together experts, publishers and authors to discuss the realities of the publishing industry and create ideas for readers of all ages Content challenge groups.

During the 10-day international event, the EPA highlighted the UAE’s efforts to support and advance the publishing industry and create an attractive environment for investors in the creative industries. The delegation, led by EPA President Ali Bin Hatem, also briefed their counterparts on the country’s efforts to protect the rights of publishers and authors, as well as its commitment to presenting publishers’ work at international book fairs and cultural events.

“The Riyadh International Book Fair is an important platform for publishers in the region and the world. It brings together literary, publishing and translation officials from the Middle East and beyond, and provides a hub for all those interested in exhibiting their books and services open to the public ,” said the EPA chairman.

“During the Publishers Conference, we highlighted the UAE’s nurturing environment and its ongoing efforts to support publishers and authors in important fields and strengthen the UAE’s position and contribution to the creative industries,” he added.
