Dolly Parton Tributes to Loretta Lynn | Entertainment

Dolly Parton pays tribute to her ‘sister’ Loretta Lynn following the country legend’s death.

The family of the “Coal Miner’s Daughter” hit producer announced Tuesday (04/10/22) that the star, who sold more than 45 million albums over the course of her career, has returned to work during Hurricane Mills, Tennessee. Passed away at home, her friend led a tribute to the pioneer singer.

Dolly said in a statement: “Sorry to hear from my sister and friend Loretta.

“We’ve been like sisters all these years in Nashville, she’s a great person, a great talent, with millions of fans, and I’m one of them.

“I miss her so much, as we do. Rest in peace.”

“How I Live” hit producer LeAnn Rimes also paid tribute to Loretta, calling her a “pioneer” and an “icon”.

She tweeted: “Oh dear Loretta Lynn…what a life! What an icon! What a trailblazer! What a beautiful soul! Rest in peace with her angels. My heart goes out to her family and Friends are with you. #lorettalynn #riplorettalynn (sic )”

Veteran singer Carol King shared a photo of Loretta on her Twitter account and simply wrote: “She is an inspiration. RIP Loretta Lynn (sic)”

‘The Muppets’ Twitter page remembers when Loretta appeared in the popular puppet show.

They wrote: “It was unforgettable to work with our friend Loretta Lynn. Not only was she a country music legend, but when she joined us on The Muppet Show, she proved that she can do almost anything – even The whole show station on the train! Thank you for the music and the memories, Loretta.”

‘Voice’ coach Blake Shelton prays to ‘You’re Watching Country’ singer’s loved ones.

He wrote: “The horrific news of the passing of Loretta Lynn…Prayers for her family.”

Loretta’s family confirmed the tragic news of her passing in a brief statement.

It read: “Our precious mom, Loretta Lynn, passed away peacefully this morning, October 4, at her beloved Hurricane Mills Ranch home.”

The country star is survived by four of her six children – Clara, Ernest and twins Peggy and Passy.
