The Abu Dhabi Government will showcase more than 100 innovative digital initiatives and projects in the digital transformation space at Gitex Global 2022, which will take place from 10 to 14 October at the Dubai World Trade Centre.
In its eleventh year of engagement, the Government of Abu Dhabi is supporting more than 30 government and academic entities at the Abu Dhabi Government Pavilion under the theme “Leading the Digital Future”.
The Abu Dhabi Government’s participation in Gitex Global 2022 is overseen by the Abu Dhabi High Council for Digital Government as part of its efforts to implement a governance framework and fundamentally change the concept of government in the Abu Dhabi Government, towards a digital future. It aligns with efforts to enable an integrated digital government based on innovation and creativity to serve all members of society in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, while strengthening partnerships between government entities and the private sector.

Gitex Global 2022 offers the Abu Dhabi government an opportunity to showcase initiatives launched by government entities within key pillars of the Abu Dhabi digital agenda, including government services, digital government solutions, data and artificial intelligence, cybersecurity and digital ecology System is enabled.
Ali Rashid Al Ketbi, Chairman of the Department of Government Support in Abu Dhabi, said: “The importance of Gitex Global 2022 is that it is a global platform to strengthen strategic partnerships between the public and private sectors and explore new opportunities for meaningful collaboration with academia. Al Ketbi added: “By participating in Gitex Global 2022, the Abu Dhabi Government aims to showcase what the emirate has achieved in the area of digital transformation and how we can build on these achievements, the latest of which is All Abu Dhabi for Abu Dhabi Dhabi government services provided by TAMM, a unified government services ecosystem in Dhabi. Through TAMM, government services are transformed into 100% digital services, enabling communities in Abu Dhabi to easily access all government services in the UAE and complete them smoothly and quickly trade.”

Dr Mohamed Abdel Hamid Al Askar, Director General of the Abu Dhabi Digital Authority, said: “We are showcasing new digital initiatives, exploring innovative ideas and adopting digital technologies to help them progress and succeed in the field of digital transformation.”

During Gitex Global 2022, the Abu Dhabi Government Pavilion will also host a series of events, including the Capture the Flag competition, one of the most prestigious cybersecurity competitions in the world. The “Ethical Hacking” competition aims to improve the skills of “Ethical Hacking,” a group of cybersecurity researchers who work to infiltrate websites, applications, and computer networks to test their security levels and predict possible hacks against companies and government entities attack.
