[ad_1]

The United States accused two Myanmar nationals of planning to pressure or kill Kyaw Moe Tun, who supported the pro-democracy movement and refused to quit.

The Myanmar military has “no relation” to the alleged attack on the country’s ambassador to the United Nations. The country’s ambassador to the United Nations ignores the military and supports the pro-democracy movement. The official media said when the country’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs called for his extradition.

Jue Meng Dun It made headlines after the military coup in February, blatantly ignoring the country’s insistence that he no longer represents the world institution of New York.

Last week, U.S. prosecutors stated that they accused two Myanmar citizens of conspiracy to hire a killer and they would force him to resign or kill him if he refused.

“Myanmar has nothing to do with this incident,” the state-backed Myanmar Global Shin Kong Daily said in the military ruler’s first comment on the case on Tuesday.

“The above-mentioned conspiracy… occurred among residents in the United States of America.”

It added that actions should be taken “in accordance with land laws.”

On Saturday, the US ambassador to the United Nations, Linda Thomas-Greenfield, stated that the conspiracy fits with the “disturbing pattern” of authoritarian leaders and their supporters seeking to persecute opponents around the world.

She said that the United States supports Jue Meng Dun and praised him for his “extraordinary courage and bravery.”

However, the Myanmar Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that it “strongly opposes Thomas Greenfield’s statement.”

According to local monitoring organizations, more than 900 people have died in Myanmar as the military tried to suppress protests against the coup.

Kyaw Moe Tun has repeatedly called for international intervention to help end the unrest and restore the elected civilian government.

Last week, he wrote to the UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres (Antonio Guterres) report The military allegedly massacred 40 civilians in the Sagaing area Northwestern Myanmar in a few days in July.

The military government denied these allegations.

In its statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs also accused Kyaw Moe Tun of “committing treason” in cooperation with the Shadow National Unity Government.

It urged the United States to act in accordance with its request to extradite Kyaw Moe Tun.

The news came as the country’s protests continued on Tuesday, and social media reported pre-strikes by students and young demonstrators in Mandalay and Kachin State.
