WASHINGTON, Oct. 13 (PTI) Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will host a breakfast meeting for his counterparts from G-20 countries on Thursday during the annual meetings of the International Monetary Fund and World Bank.
Founded in 1999, the G-20 is a group of 19 major world economies together with the European Union.
India will assume the annual presidency of the G-20 countries in December this year. Indonesia currently holds the presidency of the G20.
U.S. Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen and other G20 finance ministers have confirmed their attendance at a breakfast hosted by Sitharaman at IMF headquarters.

Sitharaman intends to work with this meeting to determine the pace and scope of India’s presidency next year and to build personal relationships with her counterparts from all G-20 countries.
