Abu Dhabi Ministry of Energy to showcase digital transformation projects at Gitex Global

Abu Dhabi’s Department of Energy (DoE) will participate in the 2022 edition of Gitex Global from 10-14 October 2022 at the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC). It will showcase and showcase its digital transformation efforts to enable, support and strengthen the emirate’s energy sector.

The U.S. Department of Energy will use the international technology conference to update its latest digital projects, including the Unified Licensing and Business Regulations Platform, which brings together all of the department’s internal systems on a single platform. It facilitates the activities of both internal employees and licensing companies, enabling programs to take place through a single ecosystem.

DOE will also present Phase 2 of its Energy and Water Intensity Heat Map, which uses 3D mapping and Building Information Modeling (BIM) to expand the capabilities of the department’s geospatial dashboards. The heatmap, in turn, will provide policymakers with actionable insights based on energy and water use in buildings in Abu Dhabi.

In recent years, the U.S. Department of Energy has devoted significant resources to developing technologies to facilitate decarbonization efforts in Abu Dhabi and the wider UAE. The department has set itself an ambitious goal of digitizing 90 percent of its emirate’s energy and water services to increase accessibility. It offers a wide range of basic facilities through an online platform to facilitate customers and ensure continuity.
