Abu Dhabi University participated in the ranking for the first time and successfully competed with more than 1,600 universities in 99 countries and territories around the world.
In addition, the university ranks first for teaching, second for research citations, and second for university education and academic diversity environment.
Sheikh Hamdan stressed that His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, sees the education sector as a top priority, considering its role in enhancing skills and investing in human capital and importance, while empowering future generations to better keep pace with scientific and technological developments in all areas of life.
Abu Dhabi University is a national success story, he said. He also takes pride in the academic excellence of the university and its placement in the top seven list of Arab universities.
The University stands out by making a significant contribution to the UAE’s Next Fifty agenda, which includes launching important national projects in the fields of industry, technology, economy and health.
The University has successfully made qualitative leaps in teaching, scientific research, community service and innovative solutions that shape the future.
This was a statement made by Sheikh Hamdan as he announced the results of the Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2023.
Covering more than 1,600 universities in 99 countries, the ranking is the largest and most diverse university ranking to date. Based on 13 carefully calibrated performance indicators, the table measures an institution’s performance in four areas: teaching, research, knowledge transfer and international perspectives.
Abu Dhabi University has more than 7,500 students studying 50 courses.
