Dubai, United Arab Emirates: Abu Dhabi Government Academy and Abu Dhabi Digital Authority have awarded a new group of Abu Dhabi government employees affiliated with the Abu Dhabi government entity’s Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP) program, which Aims to improve national skills and capabilities in the field of data management.
With the arrival of a new batch of graduates, the number of employees of Abu Dhabi government entities certified at the CDMP “Practitioner” level accounts for 8% of the global total, marking an important milestone in the UAE’s digital transformation and transformation. The Abu Dhabi Government Academy and the Abu Dhabi Digital Authority further announced the allocation of 40 free seats for the public to participate in the Certified Data Management Professionals program, with the selection process set within specific criteria to ensure that all applicants meet the required criteria.
In the presence of His Excellency Dr. Yasser Al Naqbi, Dean of the Abu Dhabi School of Government, and His Excellency Dr. Mohamed Abdel Hamid Al Askar, Director, His Excellency Ali Rashid Al Ketbi, Chairman of the Department of Government Support, presented the award to the graduates, Director of the Abu Dhabi Digital Authority.
More than 70 Abu Dhabi government employees from 30 government entities have graduated from the program with a Certified Data Management Professional Certificate. Graduates of the programme will receive globally recognised credentials and gain valuable experience and knowledge in all aspects of data management within organisations through world-renowned lecturers.
The training is scheduled to run in batches of two weeks from February 2022 to September 2022, with in-person participation.
Dr Yasser Al Naqbi, Dean of the Abu Dhabi School of Government, said: “We are delighted to partner with the Abu Dhabi Digital Authority to launch a data certification programme that will enhance the expertise and skills of Abu Dhabi government employees in data management and Support them by providing them with the knowledge they need to benefit from data and successfully perform their duties.”
Dr Al Naqbi added: “Graduation aligns with Abu Dhabi Government Academy’s efforts to develop and enhance government capacity through training programmes based on best global standards and practices. Dr Mohamed Abdelhameed Al Askar, Director General of ADDA, said: “This programme aims to support government efforts to create a data-driven ecosystem that empowers government employees and equips them with the necessary data management skills and capabilities to realize the value of data in governance and maximize operational efficiency.”
Al Askar added: “Through this programme, we look forward to increasing the data maturity of government entities by training over 150 eligible government employees and equipping them with the skills required for data management according to the highest known global standards and practices Degree Index.
