Astronaut Hazza Al Mansouri will also host a storytelling session at the Museum of the Future and shed light on his space journey
The UAE’s first astronaut, Hazza Al Mansouri, will speak on the future of the UAE astronaut programme and space exploration at the Museum of the Future Auditorium on Wednesday, October 19.
Al Mansoori’s keynote, in collaboration with the Mohammed bin Rashid Space Centre (MBRSC), is part of the Museum of the Future Future Talks series. The series is part of the museum’s efforts to uncover inspiring Arab and international figures and showcase pioneering ideas to experts in academia, science, culture, society, development and other fields. The talks aim to explore visions and opportunities for imagining and designing the future.
As part of a visit to the Museum of the Future, Al Mansouri will host a children’s story session about his visit to the space, where he will interact with around 20 children. The event took place at the OSS Hope exhibit on the 5th floor of the museum, in line with its goal of inspiring future generations. OSS Hope depicts the space station in 2071, where visitors can interact with various stories and join its community.
There will also be a mini-exhibition highlighting his objects in space, including his space suit, the food he eats, and a photo gallery documenting his journey.
future talks
The Future Talks series is a platform to celebrate and highlight great Arab thought in various fields. This is part of the museum’s goal to advocate for a knowledge- and technology-based movement in the region, bringing together the great Arab minds, harnessing and channeling their creativity for a better future for our community.
The lecture series covers many topics such as the relationship between humans and robots, Dubai’s role in future investment, the future of mixed reality, the state of science and the Arab world, the future of mobility, the role of the metaverse, the future of finance and technology , and the state of the world in 2022.
