The UAE’s public prosecution has reiterated that a federal law in the UAE criminalises witchcraft.
In propaganda posts shared by the UAE Public Prosecution on its official social media network, residents have been warned not to engage in, promote or assist in any witchcraft or witchcraft practices in the country.

The following categories may be subject to imprisonment and/or fines:
- “Anyone who seeks the help of a magician to influence another’s body, mind, mind or will.
- “A person who brings into or imports into the country, possesses, acquires or disposes of books, amulets, materials or tools used in witchcraft or sorcery.
- “A person who promotes witchcraft or witchcraft in any way.”
