Many residents whose visas have expired have been granted automatic visa renewals.
Khaleej Times learned that when some foreigners in Dubai are stranded abroad due to Covid-19 travel restrictions, their residence visas have expired and have been automatically extended to December 9, 2021.
According to a call from the Amer Center, many residents whose visas expired after the suspension of inbound passengers from multiple countries (including India) in the UAE have been granted three-month automatic visa renewal, including a one-month re-application grace period for employees.
Those who wish to travel to the UAE can check their visa status on the website https://amer.gdrfad.gov.ae/visa-inquiry.
Residents and travel agencies staying abroad with expired visas also confirmed these reports.
