Ashley Roberts’ alleged stalker has appeared in court and could face six months in prison and an unlimited fine if found guilty.
The 41-year-old Pussycat Dolls singer is said to be being pursued by fan Lewis Langley, 47, who allegedly appeared on Global radio “multiple times” as a DJ and was “lounging outside” Monday night, The Sun reported. (17.10.22)
Langley also reportedly went to an address he believed to be Ashley to get his clothes back, and he reportedly referred to the singer as his girlfriend.
The Sun said the most recent incident occurred on October 10.
He appeared at Croydon Magistrates’ Court, south London, on October 11 but is only now appearing.
He was also accused of stalking another woman, “repeatedly going to her house to ask Ashley Roberts for clothes, you claim she’s your girlfriend and you think she lives at that address”, The Sun said.
In August, the publication said Ashley was “intimidated” by a stalker.
Langley, who has no fixed abode, has been granted conditional bail until November 22 not to travel north of the Thames or the London borough of High Street as part of the terms of his release.
If convicted of stalking, the maximum sentence is six months in prison and/or an unlimited fine.
Ashley rose to prominence with The Pussycat Dolls in 2003 with Nicole Scherzinger, before the group disbanded in 2010 with a Saturday night show on the Heart 00s.
She is said to be single in 2021 following her split from “Strictly Come Dancing” pro partner Giovanni Pernice, 32, whom she dated after appearing on the BBC show in 2018.
