Aruba launches multiple partnerships and investments in UAE

[ad_1]

UAE – Aruba, a Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) company, recently announced various agreements and investments in the UAE, covering different sectors including healthcare, education and technology.

healthcare sector

The company provides the Saudi-German Health UAE with network infrastructure technology to enhance the latter’s digital transformation in the healthcare sector.

Saudi German Health UAE deployed Aruba’s Edge Services Platform (ESP), using artificial intelligence (AI) to highlight and resolve issues before they impact the business. The healthcare group is also using Aruba’s WiFi 6E technology to enhance the facility’s infrastructure.

All WiFi access points include a built-in Zigbee, Bluetooth and a gateway for accepting 3rd party USB dongles. They are also GPS capable and available through the Open-Locate solution.

“We want the patient experience to be consistent and seamless across all our facilities,” said Abid Shah, Chief Information Officer (CIO) of Saudi German Health UAE.

Shah added: “Our partnership with Aruba and Megamind (our digital transformation group company) is very important to us as it will also support our digital transformation going forward.”

Notably, Saudi German Health UAE has hospitals in Dubai, Ajman and Sharjah, in addition to clinics in Jumeriah, Damac Hills and Damac Hills 2. The healthcare company will soon open a centre of excellence in Dubai, as well as a hospital in Mirdif.

education sector

Aruba has signed an agreement with the Swiss International School of Science (SISD), a leading day and boarding school in Dubai Medical City, to enhance the learning experience and serve as an innovative platform for educational entities.

SISD has partnered with Aruba, which provides the technology infrastructure to enable schools to install fully functional digital learning environments. In addition, Aruba’s ESP facilitates network operations and provides students and administrators with the required security experience.

“We rely on Aruba as a digital transformation partner to help us create stronger, smarter networks that enhance the learning experience,” said Manoj Mohan, head of the SISD ICT team.

Additionally, Aruba signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with PACE Education Group to support the latter’s digital learning initiatives.

Hewlett Packard Enterprise has installed wired and wireless network solutions in six PACE schools of education, including PACE Modern British School, PACE International School, Indian International School, Gulf Asia English School, Delhi Private School and PACE Creative British School.

Salman Ibrahim, Managing Director of PACE Education Group, said: “Our group plans to create an Education Innovation Unit with its own resource centre where research is conducted and teachers are equipped with the latest technology in the field of education, And ultimately enable teachers to make teaching more learner-oriented and more lively.”

In addition, Aruba has partnered with GEMS Education to provide the latest web technologies to help the institution reshape the future of education.

Jacob Chacko, Regional Director, Middle East, South Africa and Saudi Arabia, Aruba, said: “For many years, we have worked to create a robust unified network infrastructure through Aruba’s wireless and secure access management technology and HPE’s switches, enabling the group to transition to a more technologically advanced A rich and safe environment.”

Digital Transformation Department

Aruba signed a Memorandum of Understanding with AIR (Advanced Inhalation Ceremony) to provide proven connectivity and operations in line with AIR’s digital transformation strategy.

In addition to deploying Aruba CX 6200F and CX 6100F series switches and indoor and outdoor Wi-Fi 6 access points, AIR will leverage Aruba’s ESP, all managed through Aruba Central.

From a single centralized management console, the company’s information technology (IT) team will manage Aruba CX Series switches and Wi-Fi 6 networks throughout the campus. At the same time, AI will monitor the performance of the infrastructure.

AIR will also install the Aruba ClearPass solution in several of its offices to maintain full control of the entire enterprise and guest network.

ClearPass connectivity will transform the user-based experience, providing secure access for employees and guests. It will also provide clear visibility, effective control and automated policy enforcement.

Harish Kumar, CIO of AIR, said: “Aruba is an industry leader in wired, wireless and secure networking solutions. We are delighted to partner with this vendor and look forward to the company’s support as we navigate our digital transformation journey .”

During the GITEX Global 2022 event, Aruba signed another agreement with global maritime solutions provider P&O Maritime Logistics to support the latter’s digital transformation with advanced web services.

The long-standing collaboration between the two parties comes as P&O Maritime Logistics deploys Aruba’s WiFi technology, campus switches and cloud-based Aruba Central solution.

Aruba helps connect more than 200 ships and offices on Aruba Central, providing a single management view. P&O Maritime Logistics successfully achieved positive business outcomes by using Aruba Central’s AI and Machine Learning (ML) capabilities.

Kris Vedat of P&O Maritime Logistics said: “For us, what attracted us was the supplier’s cloud-based network management solution, which provides zero-touch provisioning. It helps us reduce infrastructure provisioning, eliminate manual intervention and speed deployment. “

Vedat continued: “We look forward to intensifying our collaboration with the company as our digital transformation program evolves.”

UAE’s first enterprise cloud instance

As demand for cloud-based networking continues to grow, Aruba has launched enterprise cloud instances in the UAE. This will provide domestic data and help local businesses stay close to their data.

The first cloud instance launched by Aruba in the UAE complies with the Federal Personal Data Protection (PDP) Act introduced by the Gulf government in early 2022. The law provides new regulations for personal data in the UAE.

Zeeshan Hadi, Aruba UAE Country Manager, said: “According to Ken Research, the UAE cloud services market will grow at a CAGR [compound annual growth rate] During the period from 2021 to 2026, the revenue growth is 16.90%. “

Hadi added: “However, one of the main barriers to cloud adoption is data residency, and concerns about data stored in the cloud hosted outside a country, especially when it involves customers operating in regulated industries such as government time, healthcare and financial services.”

He elaborated: “The launch of our UAE cloud instance is a major achievement that will go a long way towards alleviating these concerns. It marks another milestone in our ongoing quest to better serve our customers and partners in the UAE.”

“Leveraging cloud technology allows us to deliver solutions that use AI and ML at scale, enabling what we call Aruba’s self-healing AIOps,” said Lars Koelendorf, Aruba’s EMEA vice president of solutions and support.

Earlier this month, Aruba partnered with OmniClouds to drive digital transformation and information and communication technology (ICT) services in the Middle East and Africa (MEA) region.
