Bucharest: The Minister of Climate Change and Environment, Mariam Bint Mohamed Almeri, is on an official visit to Romania, during which she meets with Romanian Prime Minister Nicolae Chuk.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Sorin Grindinu; Bogdan Orescu, Minister of Foreign Affairs; Virgil-Daniel Popescu, Minister of Energy; Petre Daea, Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development; and Environment , Water and Forests Minister Barna Tanczos.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed bilateral relations and how to strengthen bilateral relations in various fields to realize the common interests of the two countries and the two peoples. During the meeting, two memorandums of understanding in the areas of food security and climate change mitigation were signed.
Highlighting the importance of UAE-Romania relations in various fields, Almheiri praised the strength of bilateral relations in the history of the two countries, with increasing cooperation in various areas of interest in recent years.
For his part, Ciucă expressed his pride in the strong relationship between the UAE and Romania, stressing that his country is keen to strengthen cooperation with the UAE.
The visit is the result of the UAE’s efforts to follow up on the second UAE-Romania Joint Committee to strengthen cooperation between the two countries.
Almheiri also visited DP World’s project in the Romanian port of Constanta and met with several Romanian companies.
