The UAE participated in an international high-level meeting on “International and Regional Border Security and Management Cooperation to Combat Terrorism and Prevent the Flow of Terrorists” in Dushanbe, the capital of Tajikistan, in the presence of President Emomali Rahmon. Republic of Tajikistan.
Salem Mohamed Al Zabi, Director of the Department of International Security Cooperation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, led the UAE delegation.
The meeting, attended by foreign ministers and the United Nations Assistant Secretary-General, aimed to strengthen regional and international cooperation and partnerships.
It also provides an opportunity for participants to exchange experiences in developing and implementing counter-terrorism approaches, including preventive counter-extremism measures, and to strengthen political support for the UN’s work to combat terrorism.
In his speech at the conference, Al Zaabi stressed that the UAE supports international efforts. He also introduced the country’s efforts to combat terrorism and urged greater international coordination through the development of joint mechanisms and action plans, emphasizing the importance of strengthening border security and management.
