AED 15 for those who use the facility, which will open in three years
After three years, entering the busy winter tourist season ahead of schedule, the city check-in service at Abu Dhabi International Airport has resumed. Cali era have learned.
Passenger check-in has been launched from the new facility at Terminal 1 of the Abu Dhabi Cruise Terminal, Port Zayed. Currently, the service is only available to passengers travelling with Etihad Airways.
Passengers can check in from 24 hours to 4 hours before departure. They can check their bags early, get their boarding passes, and travel to the airport with peace of mind.
Such a service helps if passengers end up with excess luggage, giving them plenty of time to take the extras home instead of staying at the airport or paying extra for the extra weight. When you arrive at the airport, you can go directly to the immigration counter without having to wait in line for check-in.
Morafiq Aviation Services operates city check-in services at cruise terminals. Meanwhile, the city terminal in the Al Zahiyah area, a convenient location for check-in, remains closed. In October 2019, Abu Dhabi Airport closed its city terminal. Three years later, travelers, especially those living in the mainland, can now once again enjoy the benefits of city check-in via the cruise terminal.
Accommodation costs Dh45 per adult, Dh25 for children, Dh15 for infants, and Dh120 for a family of four to use the service.
The terminal operates 12 hours from 9am to 9pm. There is ample parking. Lines 9 (from Esplanade Mall) and 44 (from Armed Forces Officers Club) go to the cruise terminal.
