Sports & Entertainment Spotlight: Jay-Z takes Bacardi to court for disclosure of corporate records linked to co-owned cognac brand D’Usse Foster Garvey PC

[ad_1]

Welcome back to “Spotlight”, well…I’m watching the New York Yankees in the American League Championship Series as I write this, so let’s jump right in:

  • Jay-Z brought JV (Jay-V?) partner Bacardi to Delaware Chancery Court to compel the spirits company to disclose corporate records regarding jointly owned cognac brand D’Usse. If I were a D’Usse myself, this wouldn’t be an unreasonable request.
  • Plant-based food company Wicked Foods launched a concession stand at Target Center for Minnesota Timberwolves and Minnesota Lynx home games, selling approachable vegan food to basketball fans. Wicked will definitely be on the tongue, especially when the Boston Celtics are in town.
  • LeBron James’ son Bronny James continues to make zero dollars because obviously being very good at basketball and having a dad who is very good at basketball makes you really have a market. That said, my sons would hit the books well.
