Sadguru Brahmeshanandacharya Swami was awarded the “Global Peace Prize” by the World Peace Council in recognition of his contributions to the humanitarian cause of promoting peace, unity and uplifting societies at the national and international levels.
Sadhguru received the award under the slogan “End Racism, Build Peace” at the 2022 Global Peace Summit at the Dubai World Trade Centre – coinciding with World Peace Day on Wednesday.
Addressing the summit, the spiritual leaders said it was gratifying that Dubai was developing into a hub for global peace initiatives.
“Religious leaders have a responsibility to promote social peace and to preach [spiritual knowledge] Let humanity live a peaceful life,” Sadhguru said.
“Peace is not an external one, it is an internal feeling. Only then will it be revealed.”

On this occasion, Sheikh Ubeel Al Maktoum, Khaled Al Maina, Rashid Al Noori, Dr. Donnie Thomas, Adv. Goa International Sadhguru Foundation Secretary Brami Devi, UAE Dubai Council Chairman Swapnir Nagvikar and dignitaries from various fields attended.
