United Arab Emirates (UAE) authorities on Friday slammed the visa ban on Nigerians seeking to visit Dubai. In a notification to Nigerian trading partners, including travel agencies, Dubai authorities announced that “all Dubai applications submitted are now rejected”.
According to the notice, the authority added that the refusals will be sent in batches. Dubai authorities said the refusals were “common for Nigerians and approvals are currently on hold”.
These refusals are said to be the latest decisions by UAE immigration authorities regarding contacts with Nigerians.
The notice also states that no refunds will be given for rejected applications.
“Please advise your client to re-submit the C2=A0 application after the issue has been resolved by both governments,” the notice to Nigerian travel agencies further stated.
No reason was given for the drastic measures taken by the UAE.
