ANDERSON – A murder is going to happen, and you might answer that age-old question, who knows?
On October 29, Anderson’s The Edge will host “Murder at the Mansion.”Doors open at 6:30 p.m., event time is 7 p.m.
It costs $55 per person and tickets can be purchased online. Groups of four to eight are recommended as they will solve the murder together. According to the event flyer, guests 18 years and older will be admitted.
A four-course Halloween-themed meal will be served. Creepy Greek salad, witch hat bucket, eyeball pasta, pumpkin and chocolate cake. Those with dietary restrictions should contact the club. There will also be a cash bar at the event.
Upon arrival, guests will proceed to the banquet hall, and after about two hours, they will step into an old mansion.
Edge bar manager Tina O’Connor said the building already looked like an old mansion, but everything from the tables to the servers would be decorated to enhance the guest experience.
Everyone at the table will be given a script that includes all the character information they need to perform for the same table. While they don’t know who it is, the guests will figure out who at their table is the murderer.
Glass’s company, Occasions Divine, assembled a team of writers who came up with mysterious scenarios including a high school prom, the ocean floor, and a plane crash.
When asked why he chose to murder at the mansion, Glass said it was an idea just in time for Halloween.
Glass bragged that the mysteries stumped law enforcement. A few years ago, then-Police Chief Anderson had trouble solving one of their mysteries, she said.
Guests are asked to look at their food, not because of anything nefarious, but because they may contain clues. Beyond the food, Glass said there could be clues embedded in what the waiter etc. said, so be careful.
O’Connor said normal operations will continue as only the ballroom will be used for events.
Tickets purchased online. For additional questions, you can contact Edge at 765-642-4979.
