UAE: British curriculum schools report outstanding results-News

[ad_1]

The pass rate reported by most agencies is close to 100%.

Thousands of British course students in the UAE received GCSE exam results on Thursday.

Due to restrictions driven by the Covid-19 pandemic, students were unable to take the test in person, the test was cancelled, and the teacher assessed the results. Grades are a combination of classroom tests, mock exams, coursework, and other assignments set by the teacher.

Most of the British curriculum schools in the UAE have achieved nearly 100% pass rates this year.

Despite the obstacles encountered during the pandemic, 33% of Brighton College students scored 9 points. Others include 56% of grade 9-8 (A*), 77% of grade 9-7 (A*-A), 92% of grade 9-6 (A*-B) and 99% of grade 9-5 (A*-C).

Simon Corns, the principal of Brighton College in Abu Dhabi, said that this is the outstanding performance of the students after nearly two years of hardship.

He said: “I extend my warm respect to our outstanding students and their outstanding teachers, who have achieved these outstanding results together.”

Simon Jodrell, the principal of Emirates Hills, the British School in Dubai, said: “I am very proud to congratulate the 11th grade students on their GCSE results today. We are even more proud of these results because we are a non-selective and inclusive school. In such uncertainty The commitment to the two-year course during the period was incredible, and today they have achieved a series of outstanding results, which is a matter of course.”

Nav Iqbal, principal and CEO of GEMS Metropole School in Auto City, is pleased with the excellent results and adaptability of students during such tests.

“The students have achieved a series of outstanding results, which proves their hard work and the great efforts of our teachers,” he said. “Our best students received 7 9s and 1 8s. Outstanding academic performances include art, biology, mathematics and music. There are many things to celebrate in our Metropole community, and we contribute to our continued success. Feel proud.”

Sahar Cooper, CEO of Aldar Education, said that considering the challenges faced in the past two years, GCSE’s results are a huge achievement.

“These results are after the record-breaking results achieved by our graduates in the summer; they are the highest results of the group so far. I am very proud of all students and the future-oriented education we continue to provide at Aldar Education. “Cooper added.
