Civil defense and firefighters arrive at the scene within 6 minutes
A fire at a warehouse storing timber at Ras Al Khor 2 in Dubai has been extinguished. No casualties were reported in the incident reported at 3.15pm.
The Dubai Government Media Office said the thick smoke rising from the area was due to the flammability of the materials.
Firefighters arrived at the scene within six minutes of being reported, according to Dubai Civil Defence. Due to the size of the fire, civil defence personnel from three centres put out the fire.
The fire was under control by 4:30 p.m. The location has been handed over to the relevant authorities for further investigation.
