Before the first anniversary of the Abraham Agreement, Na’eh said in an interview with Khaleej Times: “The UAE is a very important partner of Israel. This is important because of the high level of synergy. The UAE is one of them, if not The most developed Arab countries are of course in the region. Wherever we go, whenever we talk to colleagues, we will find [in the UAE] In almost every problem, we found a very high synergy, and things were simply linked together. “

“When we connect people, we find a lot in common,” he said optimistically.

Responding to similar challenges

In July, Al Mheiri and Israel signed a strategic cooperation agreement in key areas of food and water security.

“One of the main pillars of the UAE’s 2051 National Food Security Strategy is to increase the use of technology throughout the food value chain,” Al Mheiri said during the event. “The second is to expand our international food sources. We are very happy to cooperate with Israel and share our respective advantages in food safety for mutual benefit.”

Na’eh agreed, noting that “this is part of the whole process, signing agreements, negotiating more agreements, and finding other necessary agreements to provide a legal framework for relationship development.”

Mohamed Bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence (MBZUAI) and Weizmann Institute of Science (WIS) are currently carrying out a joint artificial intelligence research project, which will explore the application of artificial intelligence in healthcare, genomics and other fields .

He also mentioned the student exchanges between the two countries; currently, a small number of students are selected to start studying before the end of the year.

He said: “It’s only one year, and it’s already a year-Covid’s year.” “In retrospect, we have achieved a lot in a short period of time.”

Business opportunities are common to both parties. The UAE recently announced 100% foreign ownership of 604 professional services. This includes companies operating consulting, computer, and Internet networks.

In addition, UAE companies can now invest in many lucrative businesses in Israel, including technology, Na’eh explained. “I think we will see more UAE companies entering Israel. I think we will see more of these things happen over time.”

He pointed out that as the UAE is becoming “a hub for flight, innovation and tourism, this is certainly the driving force for continued cooperation. We have the best conditions and the best ingredients to enable the two countries to cooperate.”

Technology is one of Israel’s main added values, “Let the UAE invest in emerging technologies, new technologies and future technologies. Let the scientists of the two countries sit together to think and find solutions to future problems.”
