Cycled Technologies, a cleantech startup with operations in the UAE, is among the 10 startups representing the United Arab Emirates at the Joint Exhibition for Advanced Technologies (CEATEC) exhibition in Chiba, 18-21 October 2022 part of the regiment of Japan.
CEATEC is Japan’s largest IT and electronics exhibition held every year. This year, the four-day event attracted a total of 81,612 guests from around the world.
The UAE delegation consisted of Emirates Angles and the UAE-Japan Association, and the UAE booth was sponsored by Cosmo Energy Holding and Etihad Airways.The delegation also included Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ADCCI) Board Member, UAE-Japan Association representative, Mr. Masaood Al Masaood, Chairman of the UAE Angel Investors Association, and Abu Member of the Board of Directors of Karl Magnus Dhabi Chamber and Co-Founder of Careem, who was in the Invaluable insights for all startups in speech to His Excellency Shihab Ahmed Al Faheem, UAE Ambassador to Japan

Cycled Technologies offers a smart collection unit that uses artificial intelligence to sort and incentivize recyclables in the Middle East. Currently, the company has 22 recycling points in the UAE and Saudi Arabia, is able to incentivize more than 10,000 users to continue recycling, and has registered more than 150 redemption points (including restaurants, grocery stores, family entertainment centers and wellness centers) in the region. Cycled also offers a B2B model and serves companies such as PepsiCo, Aldar Properties and Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre through smart collection points.
