Khalifa Economic Zone Abu Dhabi (Kezad) Group, Abu Dhabi’s integrated trade, logistics and industrial hub, has signed an agreement with Renov8 Polymer Industries, a division of leading manufacturer Just Right, to build a state-of-the-art recycling facility park at Kezad’s Polymers.
The move will facilitate Abu Dhabi’s transition to a circular economy, a statement said.
With operations in more than 47 countries, Just Right is a global leader in manufacturing high-quality overlay solutions and print media. Through its subsidiary Renov8 Polymer Industries Ltd, which provides industrial recycling solutions to global businesses, the group is expected to bring its best-in-class practice to Abu Dhabi to deliver one of the most sustainable polymer projects in the region.
Under the agreement, Renov8 Polymer Industries will invest AED 552 million (US$150 million) to develop a 30,000-square-meter site at Kezad’s Polymer Park, as well as a 38,000-square-meter extension adjacent to the main facility for recycling mix plastic waste.
In addition to supporting the wider UAE strategy to achieve net zero by 2050, the agreement also seeks to advance the Abu Dhabi Industrial Strategy, which is the cornerstone of the transition to a circular economy. The facility will also benefit from Abu Dhabi’s upcoming carbon trading platform, which will be the world’s first fully regulated carbon trading exchange and carbon clearing house.
