Global Village, the region’s premier family entertainment destination, will officially kick off its 27th season in Dubai today (25 October), bringing over 3,500 shopping outlets and 250 restaurants, cafes and street food choose.
With a reported 40,000 shows, guests can experience a new lineup of some of the world’s best performers, famous personalities, world-class concerts, street entertainment and the region’s only water stunt show Emirates News Agency WAM.
Over 175 rides, games and attractions are available for guests to enjoy, including the new Global Village Big Balloon, a one-of-a-kind helium balloon ride that offers 360-degree views of the Global Village and its wider environment.

To celebrate the opening of its 27th season, Global Village is bringing a unique fleet of some of the world’s most recognizable and iconic cars to the streets of Dubai. The “Wonderful Tour” of the Global Village offers taxis from New York, Cuba, Japan, Thailand, Mexico and Lebanon. The Global Village will also invite guests to enjoy a fun backseat-themed challenge inspired by the country where each taxi is located. Anyone who finds the wonder rides in the Global Village can take a photo, post it to their social media channels, hashtag #WonderRides, and stand a chance to win some exciting prizes.
New attractions for Season 27 include the Global Village Balloon, House of Fear (the scariest haunted house in the area), and Diggers Lab (a hydraulic excavator experience at the entrance to Carnaval). The first Ripley’s Believe It or Not! The Middle East and North Africa’s Odditorium returns to the global village for its 4th year with over 50 new exhibits and a new hero gallery.
The entertainment lineup for Season 27 includes an array of fan favorites, globally-renowned performers, new stunts, famous characters, world-class concerts and street entertainment. Guests can see more than 400 performers from 40 different countries, with more than 200 performances per night.
Guests will be able to choose from more than 250 restaurants, cafes and street food, bringing the flavours of the world to the global village through a range of new concepts and upgraded dining options. New this season, guests can experience high-end cuisine in four beautifully designed two-story restaurants overlooking Long Lake.
New pavilions from Qatar and Oman add excitement to the unique shopping experience in the 27th season of the Global Village, with 27 pavilions in total. Guests can also shop at Road of Asia, a brand new pedestrian street with 43 kiosks from 13 Asian countries, selling products from Sri Lanka, Indonesia, Cambodia, Malaysia, Brunei, Laos, Hong Kong, Taiwan , Authentic products from Vietnam, Nepal, Bhutan, Myanmar, and the Philippines.
From October 26th, the park will be open from 16:00 to midnight every day from Sunday to Thursday. It is open from 16:00 to 1:00 on Fridays, Saturdays and public holidays. The entrance gate closes half an hour before Global Village closing time. Tuesdays are exclusively for ladies and families, excluding public holidays and high season open days.
